Brunch & Bloom Tidings

We are so excited to offer these on farm bouquet making classes! We have been wanting to host guests at the farm but every year there seems to be some obstacle to making it happen, but not this year! Our Brunch & Bloom events invite you to step foot into the enchanting landscape of our flower farm as me and my mom, Cathy, give instruction on how to craft a luscious garden bouquet. Hopefully you can then apply these skills to your own flower garden and create lovely bouquets for yourself all season long!

The Brunch portion of these events will be catered by North Branch Bakery of North Branch and Petal n Bean Co. located from Cass City. If you haven't tasted any goodies from these bakeries before you are in for a true treat! The North Branch Bakery has won several awards for their delectable baked goods and make some of the best paczkis in the state! Queenie, the owner and my first boss, is a yearly flower subscriber and we are thrilled to be able to support her business. If you have never experienced a North Branch Bakery donut you are in for a true treat at brunch! Petal n Bean Co. is a local bakery, coffee and flower shop all rolled into one! Christine and staff are thrilled to be a part of this event and will also be featuring our flowers at her shop through the season. They will be providing yummy breakfast sandwiches, baked good and of course the coffee for our event. There will also be water, tea and juice available along with fruit.

Our first Brunch and Bloom is geared towards celebrating moms as it takes place April 30, 2022 (the Saturday before Mother's Day). These bouquets will spotlight the early spring blooming bulbs we grow: tulips, narsissus and hyacinth. Last fall we planted more than 14 different varieties of tulips and have 8 different varieties of narsissus that will soon start popping up out of the ground. These aren't your grandma's tulips and daffodils! The ruffled parrot and peony style tulips will be sure stun along side the smooth and elegant tradional tulip varieties. And our narsissus are so bright and unbelievably fragrant that you'll want to plant some in your own garden this fall. And we can't forget the delicate and what I consider to be the official scent of spring; the hyacinth. We will have plenty of my favorite spring bloom to add a unqiue flare to your bouquet.

We are so thankful to announce that the Mother's Day Brunch and Bloom is completely booked! If you were considering this date to join us on the farm, we would like to direct you to our other Brunch and Bloom events later in the season. You can definitely still surprise mom with a ticket and enjoy the bouquet making class at one of the later dates.

The next Brunch and Bloom date falls on Saturday, June 18, 2022. This is peak Peony season for us and we cannot wait to share this aromatic flowers with you! Along with peonies, clove scented stock, happy chamomile, stunning snapdragons, bright apple of Peru and charming yarrow along with others, will be the stem selection for this bouquet making class. The farm will also be looking much more like a flower farm this time of year and we can't wait to show our guests around! There are still spots available for this date and tickets can be purchases here:
